- This corporate level position is responsible for coordinating all environmental matters including permitting, legal affairs and public relations for 10 facilities in the U.S. Awards and special recognition have been a result of my efforts.
- Waste reduction efforts (air, water, solid waste & energy) have made this position very visible and added significant value to the product line while saving costs.
- Finding and implementing alternative technologies is a challenging aspect of the position. (biosolids management, toxics reduction and solvent-free cleaners)
- Sustainable business practices and elimination of waste are fundamentals of the job and integral to new business initiatives.
- Traditional project work includes due diligence for new acquisitions, site studies and cleanups, river studies, assorted air/wastewater issues and preparation of plans (GAP analysis, SPCC, SWP3 & RMP's etc.).
- Successfully negotiated many NPDES and Title V Synthetic minor permits while minimizing emissions in the production process to meet permit restrictions.
- I lead many of the efforts for the Ecosense™ Task force for the company and am responsible for several worldwide presentations of our accomplishments to all of the task force members in the Interface Corporation. At times I report objectives and progress directly to Ray C. Anderson, CEO, Interface and co-chair for the President's Council for Sustainability. I have made presentations in Maui, Santa Barbara, Bar Harbor, Atlanta, Seaside Florida and in Bermuda and Holland.
- I maintain business relationships with Paul Hawkins (author, Ecology of Commerce), Bill McDonough (a leader in sustainable design), and Amory Lovins (an energy expert with the Rocky Mountain Institute) in an effort to keep abreast of the most current environmental trends and technologies.
- I am an advocate of "doing well by doing good", "doing the right thing" and sustainable business initiatives through environmental stewardship.

- Developed process plans for a treatment system designed to purify landfill leachate into "drinking water" as set forth by the regulations in 314 CMR 7.
- Negotiated wastewater permits for power plants and designed treatment systems to achieve compliance for their discharges.
